WHY MOST DEVICES FAIL

Why Your $400 Facial Device Stopped Working.

You followed the routine. You saw results. Then everything plateaued.

Most premium at-home devices rely on a single technology. That's why many users see early improvements, followed by slower progress over time.

Single Technology Devices

NuFACE

Microcurrent Only

FOREO BEAR

Microcurrent + Sonic Vibration

ZIIP

Nanocurrent Only

One technology can only do so much.

Professional treatments combine multiple technologies working at different depths of the skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our products

  • Three different technologies, three different mechanisms, three different skin layers.

    • RF (Radio Frequency): Heats the dermis (the deeper skin layer where collagen lives) to ~40–42°C — the precise temperature that triggers fibroblast cells to produce new collagen and elastin. Effect: skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, firmness over weeks.
    • EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation / Microcurrent): Delivers low-level electrical impulses to the facial muscles, causing controlled contractions — like a workout for the 43 muscles in your face. Effect: visible muscle tone, lifted jawline and cheekbones, more defined contours.
    • LED Light Therapy: Different wavelengths of light penetrate the skin to trigger different cellular responses. Red light boosts collagen and repair, blue light helps acne-prone skin, yellow reduces redness, green addresses pigmentation. Effect: glow, brightening, targeted skin concerns.

Why all three matter: A professional spa facial uses all three (and more) in a single session. Each technology operates at a different skin depth and on a different mechanism. Stacking them is why clinic facials produce results that single-technology home devices can't match.

  • The core mechanism is the same — RF energy heating the dermis to stimulate collagen production. The differences:

    • Clinic devices use higher RF intensities and produce more dramatic per-session results, but require trained professionals and cost $200–$500 per session.
    • Derma Pulse uses safe at-home RF intensities — lower per-session impact, but applied 3× per week, the cumulative effect over 8 weeks meets or exceeds a single clinic session at a fraction of the cost.

Think of clinic treatments as the "intensive course," Derma Pulse as the "maintenance and gradual progression" — most users get better long-term results from consistent at-home use than from sporadic clinic visits.

  • Derma Pulse includes multiple LED therapy modes, selectable via the LCD display:

    • 🔴 Red Light (~630nm): Stimulates collagen production, boosts cellular repair, anti-aging
    • 🔵 Blue Light (~415nm): Antibacterial, helps clarify acne-prone skin
    • 🟡 Yellow Light (~590nm): Reduces redness, calms sensitive skin
    • 🟢 Green Light (~520nm): Targets pigmentation and uneven tone

Use the mode that matches your current skin concern. Most users start with red (anti-aging), then rotate based on what they're working on that week.

  • The 3-step routine takes 5 minutes:

    1. Cleanse + Apply Serum — Wash your face. Apply a generous layer of the included Hyaluronic Serum (or any water-based conductive gel) to clean, dry skin. The serum is essential — it conducts the RF and EMS energy from the device to your skin. Never use the device on dry skin or with oil-based products.
    2. Glide the Device — Turn on the device. Select your intensity level (start at the lowest level for your first week). Select your LED mode. Glide the 4-metal-head slowly across each zone in slow, upward motions:
    • Forehead — outward from centre
    • Cheeks — from nose to ear
    • Jawline — from chin to ear (always upward)
    • Neck — from collarbone to jaw (always upward)
    • Treat each zone for ~1 minute.
    1. Finish — Turn off the device. Pat any remaining serum into skin. Apply your normal evening moisturiser. Apply SPF30+ the next morning — your skin is more photosensitive after treatment.

Frequency: 3× per week. Never daily. The skin needs recovery time between sessions.

  • You must use a water-based conductive product — Derma Pulse cannot deliver RF or EMS effectively through dry skin or oil-based creams (which act as insulators and can also reduce contact).

What works: ✅ The included Hyaluronic Serum
    ✅ Any water-based hydrating gel
    ✅ Aloe vera gel
    ✅ Hyaluronic acid serum
    ✅ Toner-style products

What does NOT work: ❌ Oil-based moisturisers
    ❌ Silicone-based primers
    ❌ Anything with SPF
    ❌ Dry skin

Each Derma Pulse purchase includes a free bottle of our Hyaluronic Serum (worth $29) — enough for ~30 sessions (10 weeks of 3× per week use).

  • 5 minutes — the full routine across forehead, cheeks, jawline, and neck.

For more intensive treatment, you can extend to 10 minutes by treating each zone twice. Never exceed 10 minutes per session — over-treatment doesn't accelerate results and can cause temporary irritation.

  • 3 times per week — recommended frequency for optimal results.

This is based on the skin's natural recovery cycle. The RF stimulation triggers collagen production over the following 48–72 hours. Treating again within that window doesn't add benefit, and can interfere with the repair process.

Less than 2× per week: results will be slower and less pronounced 3× per week: optimal — what 95% of customers do More than 4× per week: not recommended — no extra benefit, possible mild irritation

  • Do not use Derma Pulse if you:

    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding (the safety of facial RF and EMS during pregnancy has not been established)
    • Have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or any internal electronic medical device
    • Have metal implants in the head, face, or neck (dental implants are generally fine; orthopaedic or surgical metal plates in the face are not)
    • Have a history of epilepsy or seizure disorders
    • Have active cancer or are undergoing chemotherapy/radiation
    • Have severe acne or open skin lesions in the treatment area (wait until healed)
    • Have had Botox or dermal fillers in the last 14 days (wait the full 2 weeks)
    • Have a skin condition currently in active flare (eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, herpes simplex)
    • Have sunburn or recently treated skin (peels, lasers in last 7 days)
    • Are under 18 years old

If you're unsure whether you can safely use Derma Pulse, consult your doctor or dermatologist before purchase. Refunds available for unused, unopened orders within 30 days.

  • Correct — do not use Derma Pulse if you have a pacemaker, ICD, or any internal electronic medical device. EMS/RF devices can potentially interfere with the function of these implants. This is non-negotiable and applies to all at-home microcurrent and RF devices, not just Derma Pulse.

If a family member is buying Derma Pulse for you and you have a pacemaker, contact our support team immediately for a full refund.

  • Wait 14 days after any injectable treatment (Botox, dermal fillers, Sculptra, biostimulators) before using Derma Pulse on the treated areas. RF heat can theoretically affect the longevity or distribution of injectables — better to be cautious.

After the 14-day wait period, Derma Pulse is safe to use over previously-treated areas and is often used to maintain and extend the results of injectables between treatments.
